Permanent and Permanent Soloist cello strings have a full and powerful sound, easy tuning and a smooth response. The strings are also suitable for electric cellos. Available in Medium and Strong string tensions. The soloist version has a powerful and more brilliant sound. The composite of the strings is as follows:

• The A and D strings have a core made of high tensile steel and are wound with chrome steel;
• The G and C strings have a braided core wound with tungsten;
• All strings are provided with a ball.

Pirastro has terminated the fabrication of Permanent strong cello strings. Some strong strings are still available.
