Insurance package

Strijkinstrumentenshop.nl offers an insurance package for all string instruments that we rent (violins, violas, cellos and double basses). This insurance package is an insurance against damage + maintenance service.

Insured against damage

Especially with beginning musicians, it takes some getting used to in the beginning to handle the instrument in a correct and careful way. String instruments are fragile and a repair is quickly very expensive. With the insurance package you are insured against all accidental damage; from a broken stick to a crack in the instrument. Theft or loss is obviously not covered. Without this additional coverage, the renter is responsible for the cost of any repair to the instrument.

Maintenance service

The maintenance service is also part of the insurance package. For violins, violas, cellos and double basses, parts need to be replaced from time to time and therefore maintenance of the instrument is required. Think, for example, of a broken string or too thinly hairy bow. If you choose to take the insurance package, all maintenance costs are covered. For example, has your string jumped? Then you will receive a new one for replacement at home free of charge. Or visit our store and have the new string put on it. No longer satisfied with your bow? If necessary, we will re-coat it free of charge. As a replacement, we will send you another bow, so that you can continue making music. For strings there is a maximum replacement of 2 strings per year and for the bow a maximum replacement of 1 bow per year.
