Pirastro Euduxa "Stiff" sheep gut viola strings are handmade. They provide a well-balanced sound with a wide range of timbres. The following versions are available in medium or strong diameter/string tension, indicated in PM (Pirazzi meter = 0.05 mm):

• D string : sheep gut core with aluminum winding (17 PM);
• G string : sheep gut core with silver winding (16 1/2);
• C string : sheep gut core with silver winding (21 1/2);
• The D string is fitted with a ball and the G and C-strings are fitted with a knot.

Eudoxa "Stiff" viola strings sound darker and more powerful, and come in plastic tubes.

Other stringtensions are available on special order (soft/strong) with a delivery time 4-6 weeks.
