The Pirastro Euduxa "Stiff" sheep gut viola strings are handmade. They provide a well-balanced sound with a wide range of timbres. The following versions are available in medium or strong diameter/string tension, indicated in PM (Pirazzi meter = 0.05 mm):

- D string : sheep gut core with aluminum winding, ball-end (17 PM)
- G string : sheep gut core with silver winding, knot-end (16 1/2)
- C string : sheep gut core with silver winding, knot end (21 1/2)

The Eudoxa "Stiff" viola strings sound darker and more powerful, and come in plastic tubes.

Other stringtensions are available on special order (soft/strong) with a delivery time 4-6 weeks.
