Evah Pirazzi Orchestra double bass strings offer excellent response and control over the entire dynamic range from pianissimo to fortissimo, and are available in medium and soft versions. Compared to the medium set, the soft version sounds a bit brighter, with a bit more reverberation and because the string tension is lower, the soft strings play a bit easier. The strings have a core of multi-synthetic fibers that are wound with chrome steel. The entire set delivers a brilliant, powerful, dark and balanced sound. They are all-round strings suitable for arco and pizzicato playing. A nice string set for the more advanced double bassist!

Gauge “weich”: Compared to the medium orchestra set the sound of the “weich” strings is brighter and growlier with a little more sustain. The set has a distinctly core sound. Due to the reduced string tension the playability is easier than with the standard set.
