Thomastik-Infeld Alphayue strings combine a competitive price with a beautiful colorful sound, direct response and good playability. These strings are excellent for improving the sound of relatively cheap instruments (as a substitute for cheap steel strings). 

The set consists of the following strings:

• E string is made from tinned steel core;
• A and -D strings have a synthetic core wound with aluminum;
• G string has a synthetic core wound with silver wire;
• All strings have a ball, but the E string-ball is removable, allowing it to be used with a loop.

D string (4./4) is also available with silver winding.
