Thomastik-Infeld Spirit! violin stringa are based on a synthetic core (A-D-G) with aluminum (A-D) and silver windings (G) respectively. For smaller sizes (1/4 -1/2) a monel winding is used for the D string. According to the manufacturer, the strings have an easy response; they feel nice and they last a long time. In addition, we have a warm sound. There are many choices in this price segment and trying them out is actually the best way to determine which strings best suit the individual violin.

All A, D and G-strings are fitted with a ball, whereas the E-string is fitted with a removable ball, so that the string can also be used with loopend.

Thomastik terminated the fabricating small sizes. Some smaller sizes are still availble.
