Pirastro's Piranito strings are made of a massive steel core. The E-string is all steel, the A string is wound with aluminum (smaller sizes with chrome), the D and G-strings are wound with chrome steel. They have a nice clear sound and easy response. An A-string with chrome winding is also available for the 4/4 violin. Great strings for the novice and more advanced violinist. All strings are fitted with a ball.
