Pirastro Oliv double bass strings have a sheep gut core, which is handcrafted. The strings are wrapped with chrome steel. The strings have a fascinating variety of timbres, which offers the double bass player opportunities to explore the boundaries of the timbre spectrum and are resistant to a very powerful bowing technique, in which the strings sound very dark. The strings are available in medium string tension for and 3/4 double bass.
