Pirastro has stopped producing the strong and soft versions of Obligato violin strings and as a result this is a discontinued item that can not be ordered or very limited at wholesale .

The medium string set is composed as follows:

• E string - Gold-Chrome steel;
• A string - Aluminium winding;
• D string - Silver winding;
• G string - Silver winding;
• All A, D and G strings are equipped with a ball, whereas the E-strings are available with both a ball and a loop.

The A-string with chrome steel winding and the D-string with aluminum winding are available as an option.
