Thomastik Präzision viola strings have a solid steel core and give a beautiful brilliant sound. The strings are very durable and therefore beneficial for violists in many styles of music. The strings are available in the following versions:

- A string : steel core with Chrome winding;
- D string : steel core with Chrome winding;
- G string : steel core with Chrome winding;
- C string : steel core with Chrome winding;

Optionally, the A string is available with aluminum winding and the C string with silver winding, however Thomastik terminated the fabriction of these option strings. Some strings are still availble.
