Pirastro Obligato "Fifth tuning" double bass strings are synthetic strings with a core of a modern plastic multifibre, wound with chrome steel. The sound is warm, clear and powerful. The set is in perfect harmony. Suitable for both arco and pizzicato. Insensitive to temperature and humidity fluctuations, so extremely stable in voice. Available in 3/4 double bass size.

Tuned in 5th: The low C string is also available as a special rope core steel string, resulting in a more powerful and darker sound.
