The Mini Quartets in these books are suitable for both group lessons and concerts. There are no first, second, third, or fourth violinists: all parts—when colored differently—are of equal importance. A CD containing sample tracks of all the pieces is included so that students can practice at home and perform for friends and family. In Mini Quartets 1, only the open strings are introduced first, followed by the addition of the first and second fingers. In Mini Quartets 2, the student consistently uses the first three fingers.
