Larsen Original violin strings produce a warm, direct and resolute sound with stable clarity and beautiful string cohesion. The strings are reliable and have a robust projection, ideal for a bright to neutral sounding violin that needs some extra warmth.

The string set is composed as follows:

• E string is made of steel;
• A and D strings are made of a multiple nylon core and wound with a flat aluminum wire;
• G string is made of a multiple nylon core and wound with pure silver;
• All A, D, and G strings are fitted with a ball, whereas the E strings are available with both ball and a loop.

The E string was also available in gold, but Larsen recently discontinued production of these strings (a few pieces are still available). The A string is also available with a steel core, and the D string with silver winding (Medium and Strong).
