Przystaniak is a German composer, pianist, and choir conductor who has published several works featuring educational contemporary music. "Five Angels" is a modern suite featuring various genres: tango, film music, and gospel. The movements can be played independently. This highly accomplished modern music will also resonate with young people. The CD contains excellent sample and play-along versions. The book features piano accompaniment, while the CD offers a choice of piano-only or piano trio accompaniment (with violin and cello). Play-along versions of both versions are available. The composer himself can be heard on the piano. It's a shame that the dull cover in no way reflects the exciting and passionate content.
