Violin maker Vasile Gliga started making violins about 40 years ago and has since expanded his workshop into a company where hundreds of instruments are built every year by self-trained employees.

All instruments are built by hand, where everyone has his specialty for every part of the instrument. As a result, the pricing is very favorable, without the quality being compromised. Gliga uses Carpathian Maple and Pine (dried for 5 years) for the back and sides and the fingerboard is made of imported ebony.
