Johann Rudolf Zumsteeg (Sachsenflur, Lauda-Königshofen, 10 January 1760 – Stuttgart, 27 January 1802) was a German composer and conductor. Zumsteeg was a champion of Mozart's operas. He gave the first performances of Die Zauberflöte, Don Giovanni, and Così fan tutte in Stuttgart. He composed many songs and ballades. His ballades had a profound influence on Franz Schubert, who imitated a number of Zumsteeg's works as a teenager (sometimes even in the same key).
