Thomastik Rondo violin strings have been a household name with violin makers for some time, as until recently these strings were only sold to violin makers for their own use. Now the strings are also available for the general public. Rondo strings are all-round strings with a somewhat higher string tension compared to Dominant strings. With Dominant PRO, Peter Infeld and Rondo violin strings, Thomastik has wide scale strings with a synthetic core in this price segment. It is a matter of trying out for yourself which type of string suits your violin best. The specifications of Rondo violin strings are as follows:

• E string of tinned carbon steel with removable ball;
• A string with synthetic core and aluminum winding;
• D string with synthetic core and silver winding;
• G string with synthetic core and silver winding;
• All strings have a ball, except the E-string which have a removable ball (=loop).

The A string is also available with a carbon steel core with chrome winding.
