Präzision Orchestra double bass strings have a solid steel core with chrome winding and give a beautiful brilliant sound. The strings are very durable and therefore beneficial for double bass players in many styles of music. In addition to the standard G/D/A/E string set, the following strings are optionally available, all in the medium version:

• High C string;
• Low C string;
• Low B/H string.

Thomastik terminated the fabrication of these strings. Some set/strings are still available.
