The new Solea string set was presented in 2020 by Corelli/Savarez. Three years of research with new raw materials in a finely balanced composition generated a new type of string texture. According to the manufacturer, with an exceptional playing quality due to high string flexibility while maintaining the necessary resistance, a perfect sound emission from pianissimo to fortissimo and a variety of nuances in the extensive sound spectrum. The homogeneity of the strings is striking during string changes. The violin string set is composed as follows:
- E string is made of a slightly more flexible steel with a high quality carbon content. The brilliant sound is not aggressive, allows an enlarged range of nuances, even in the case of a powerful play;
- The windings A, D and G strings are made of new materials: a combination of very new innovative metals. The double layers of innovative raw materials surround a synthetic multifilament core (specific polymer), whose elasticity and density are designed to give a rich and clear sound reproduction;
- All A, D and G strings are fitted with a ball and the E string is available with either a ball or a loop.
