The title Salti (non) mortali alludes to the subject matter of this short work for violin and piano: leaps and intervals. The piece, particularly in its middle section, requires techniques and effects such as harmonics, glissandi, and the like. However, Salti (non) mortali is not, overall, a daredevil acrobatics exercise, but rather a varied and attractive work in which both soloist and pianist have their place.
