The tremolo study 'Recuerdos de la Alhambra', composed in 1886, is undoubtedly Tarrega's most famous piece. It evokes memories of the Moorish citadel on a hill in Granada, Spain. Thanks to this arrangement, this enchanting gem with its slightly melancholic undertone – perhaps inspired by Georges Bizet's 'Je crois entendre encore' from The Pearl Fishers – is now also available for instruments other than the guitar.
