Pirastro Aricore violin strings have a core made of Polyester. With the right bowing technique, they give a warm dark timbre. The strings are easy to tune and insensitive to temperature and humidity. The following strings are available:

• Steel E string;
• A and D string with aluminum winding;
• G string with silver winding;
• All A, D and G strings are fitted with a ball, whereas the E string is available with either a ball or a loop.

Optionally, the A and D strings are also available with a chrome steel winding and furthermore is the A-string available in the Eudoxa-Aricore version with a polyster core and Alu winding, however, Pirastro has discontinued these options and there are still some strings available, against reduced prices, as long as stock lasts.
