Pirastro Aricore violin strings offer a:
- Dark and warm sound,
- Tune quickly and are stable,
- Absolutely insensitive to variations in temperature and humidity.
Variations:
- D & G string (chrome): Brighter sound than aluminum and makes the strings insensitive to hand perspiration.
- Eudoxa-Aricore A-string:
- Material and core: The string has a core made of polyester.
- Sound character: Delivers a dark sound that is warmer and deeper than the regular Aricore A-string.
- Response: Offers a very easy and smooth response.
- Developed as a full alternative to A-strings with a gut core.

- E-string: Steel
- A- and D-string: Polyester core, aluminum wound
- G-string: Polyester core, silver wound
