Dancla's compositions are clearly influenced by Paganini's melodies, which is also reflected in his numerous educational works, as the development of melodic, sonorous playing is a focus of his work. Edition Butorac is now publishing a series of his works aimed at advanced beginners, some of which are limited to the first position, but soon extend to the fifth position. The study of these enchanting, short pieces of music, which combine technical progress with appealing melodies in an excellent way and are equally suitable as study material and as performance pieces, will be of great benefit to the student in every respect.
