The Larsen Virtuoso Soloist viola set is composed as follows:

- A string : Solid steel core with flat stainless steel winding (same string as the Larsen A Original viola string)
- D, G and C strings : Synthetic multi-filament core wound with silver wire

The Soloist viola strings give more focus and a bigger sound compared to a medium set.
