The Larsen Virtuoso Soloist viola set, with a higher string tension, is composed as follows:

• A string : Solid steel core with flat stainless steel winding (same string as the Larsen A Original viola string);
• D, G and C strings : Synthetic multi-filament core wound with silver wire;
• D, G and C strings are fitted with a ball and the E string is available with either a ball or a loop.

The Soloist viola strings give more focus and a bigger sound compared to a medium set.
