With the new Aurora violin strings from Larsen, Larsen adds a new line of violin strings to the range, which are available in all common violin sizes. According to Larsen, the string has an extended response, a deeper sound, approaching the "sweet spot" in the balance of brilliant sound, warmth and focus for most violins. Aurora violin strings are strings for all ages, where the 4/4 version is available in the medium and strong version.
The E has a unique custom carbon steel core , while the A is aluminum wound on a synthetic core . The D is available as double wound aluminum or as D Silver which is wound with one layer of aluminum and one of high quality silver. The G is wound with the same high-quality silver that is of an even finer quality than sterling silver. Aurora fractional for smaller sizes is specially designed with perfectly proportioned versions. Note: The fractional E in sizes 1/8 and 1/16 is aluminum wound for ease of playing.
