Kaplan 3/4 double bass strings are seen by musicians as the most distinctive double bass string (according to the manufacturer....). The string offers a rich palette of tones, along with good bow response. Furthermore, the strings produce a clear and warm sound, both in the high and low registers. The following specification for the strings applies:

• G string : Braided steel core with titanimu winding;
• D and A string : Braided steel core with nickel winding;
• E and C ext string : Braided steel core with tungsten (tungsten) winding.
