This edition aims to fill the current gap in the availability of suitable beginner repertoire for double bass with piano accompaniment. In compiling this collection, the editor was guided by the goal of providing double bass students with a selection of short pieces for their first years of study. These pieces are intended to stimulate their enjoyment of playing and making music, while also introducing them to some great composers and renowned composer-double bassists.
