The string set consists of the following strings:
- E string carbon steel multi layer tinplated (ball/loop)
- A string with synthetic core and aluminum winding;
- D string with synthetic core and silver winding
- G string with synthetic core and silver winding
The E string is also available in a carbon steel tin-plated version (DY015). This is a very soloistic string, more brilliant and brighter than the E-string (DY01) included in the set. Especially recommended for violins with a very low action on the E-string – they can benefit from the powerful sound of the DY01S E-string, according to Thomastik-Infeld.
The D string is also available with an aluminum winding.
The G string is also available in special versin (04B) with even more sound colors and also a broader sound than the G-string (DY04) included in the set. However, it is also a bit more challenging to play. Recommended for very direct-sounding violins that need a lot of sound colors.
Available in sizes 4/4, 3/4 and 1/2.
