Composed for clarinet, cello, and piano, the Clarinet Trio (BH 12624) is a piece in three movements, with a total length of 20 minutes. The first movement, Ljud stort, ljud (Ring out loud, ring out), was commissioned in 2008 to mark the anniversary of the Swedish Cultural Foundation. The other two movements, Som det stilla vi söker (Like the silence we seek) and Slå våg, slå (Crash wave, crash), were commissioned in the same year for the Bergen International Festival. The Piano Trio is the same piece in an adaptation by the composer for violin, cello, and piano from 2011–12. Please note that the piano and cello parts of the two editions are not interchangeable and can therefore only be used for one of the two versions of the piece.
